Form 34-12H Files Dataset

Form 34-12H filings contain applications for exemption filed pursuant to Section 12(h) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Section 12(h) authorizes the SEC to exempt, in whole or in part, any issuer or class of issuers from registration under Section 12(g) or from certain reporting obligations under Sections 13(a) and 15(d), provided the exemption is not inconsistent with the public interest or the protection of investors. The dataset includes all Form 34-12H filings submitted to EDGAR from November 2005 to present. For each accession number, a metadata file and all documents in the original EDGAR submission are included except image files. Each filing typically contains the applicant's identification and contact information, a description of the class of securities for which exemption is sought, the statutory basis for the exemption request, and supporting documentation demonstrating that the requested relief satisfies the criteria set forth in Section 12(h).
