Multi-year income statement, balance sheet and financial ratios from 10-K annual reports

Pulls three years of income statement and cash flow, two balance sheet dates, derived margins, and revenue split by platform and geography, printing the XBRL element behind every line so each figure can be traced to the filing.

Prompt

Copy and paste into your assistant
Using the SEC-API.io MCP server, build a plain financial statements document for NVIDIA.

Order of operations: resolve NVDA to its CIK, find its three most recent 10-K filings, pull the XBRL financial statements from the latest one, then build the document.

Content: consolidated income statement and cash flow statement for the last three fiscal years; balance sheet for the last two fiscal year ends; EPS and weighted average share counts; derived margins (gross, operating, net, R&D as % of revenue, effective tax rate, revenue growth); free cash flow and capex as % of revenue; and revenue disaggregated by market platform and by customer geography.

For every line, show the XBRL element name it came from in a narrow grey column on the right.

Header block: source filing, filer and CIK, accession number, filing date, EDGAR document URL, and the API call that reproduces it.

Format: A4 PDF, black and white only, serif, dense tables around 7pt, negative numbers in parentheses, USD millions, no logos and no cover page. A researcher's working document, not marketing.

Before finishing, check: gross profit equals revenue less cost of revenue, net income equals pretax less tax, assets equal liabilities plus equity, diluted EPS times diluted shares approximates net income, and each disaggregation sums to total revenue.

On the two earnings-per-share checks. Diluted and basic earnings per share are tagged to two decimal places, so multiplying them by the weighted average share count cannot reproduce net income exactly. The residual is a rounding artefact of the tagged per-share figure and is under 0.05% of net income in every period, well inside the 0.5% tolerance applied.

10Notes on Presentation and Tagging

Fiscal year convention. NVIDIA’s fiscal year ends on the last Sunday in January. Fiscal 2026 ended January 25, 2026; fiscal 2025 ended January 26, 2025; fiscal 2024 ended January 28, 2024. Fiscal 2026 and fiscal 2024 were 52-week years; fiscal 2025 was a 52-week year. Fiscal-year labels therefore run one year ahead of the calendar year in which most of the period falls.

Revenue element. Revenue is tagged us-gaap:Revenues, not us-gaap:RevenueFromContractWithCustomerExcludingAssessedTax. The same element carries every disaggregated revenue fact, distinguished only by axis and member.

Sign conventions. XBRL facts for cost of revenue, operating expenses, income tax expense, interest expense, purchases of securities and property, share repurchases and dividends are tagged as positive values and rendered as deductions in the filed statements. This document follows the filed presentation. Where the filed statement shows an amount in parentheses, it appears in parentheses here, even where the underlying XBRL fact is positive.

Geographic attribution. The filing states: “Revenue by geographic area is based upon the location of the customers’ headquarters. The end customer and shipping location may be different from our customers’ headquarters location.” A footnote records that in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 NVIDIA changed to a customer-headquarters basis and recast prior periods; the geography figures for fiscal 2025 and fiscal 2024 shown here are the recast figures as they appear in the fiscal 2026 Form 10-K, and will not agree with the geography tables in the fiscal 2025 and fiscal 2024 Forms 10-K. The filing further estimates that in fiscal 2026 roughly 76% of Data Center revenue from Taiwan-headquartered customers was attributable to end customers based in the United States and Europe. No Singapore line appears in this filing.

Market platform disaggregation. The filing captions this table “Revenue by End Market.” Compute and Networking are presented as indented lines beneath Data Center and are not additive to the total; the five lines that sum to total revenue are Data Center, Gaming, Professional Visualization, Automotive, and OEM and Other. In XBRL all seven facts use us-gaap:Revenues on srt:ProductOrServiceAxis with no parent-child hierarchy expressed in the facts themselves.

Double-tagged balance sheet facts. us-gaap:Goodwill and us-gaap:DeferredIncomeTaxAssetsNet appear elsewhere in the filing at a coarser rounding precision (decimals=-8). The values in Table 4 are the statement-face values at decimals=-6.

Free cash flow. Free cash flow is not a tagged XBRL concept and is not a measure defined under US GAAP. It is computed here as net cash provided by operating activities less purchases related to property and equipment and intangible assets (us-gaap:PaymentsToAcquireProductiveAssets). Principal payments on financed property and equipment, which NVIDIA reports within financing activities, are not deducted.

Scope. The income statement and cash flow statement carry three fiscal years because the filed statements do. The balance sheet carries two fiscal year ends for the same reason. Figures for fiscal 2025 and fiscal 2024 are as presented in the fiscal 2026 Form 10-K and reflect any recasting applied in that filing.

Prepared from NVIDIA Corporation’s Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended January 25, 2026, accession 0001045810-26-000021, filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on February 25, 2026. Financial data retrieved through the sec-api.io XBRL-to-JSON converter. This is a working extract of data as filed. It contains no adjustment, normalisation, estimate or opinion, and it is not investment advice. Readers should consult the filing itself, including its notes and the report of the independent registered public accounting firm, before relying on any figure here.

Every line carries the XBRL element it came from. Free cash flow is marked as derived, because it is neither a tagged concept nor defined under US GAAP.

Files produced

  • report.pdfFour A4 pages, black and white, 7pt tables.
  • report.htmlThe same document as a single self-contained web page.

When to use this prompt

  • Building a model from as-filed figures rather than a vendor feed.
  • Checking which XBRL element a number came from before depending on it.
  • Producing a working document to mark up, rather than a chart to look at.

What you get back

  • Every line labelled with its XBRL element, so a figure can be traced from the page back to the filing.
  • Derived measures marked as derived. Free cash flow is neither a tagged concept nor defined under US GAAP, and the document says so rather than presenting it as filed.
  • Revenue disaggregated two ways, by market platform and by customer geography, each reconciling to total revenue.
  • Arithmetic checks run before delivery: gross profit against revenue less cost of revenue, net income against pretax less tax, assets against liabilities plus equity, and diluted EPS times diluted shares against net income.

Variations

  • Change the company, or run the same document for a peer and compare.
  • Extend to five fiscal years, which the 10-K supports for the income statement.
  • Add the quarterly series from the 10-Q filings between annual reports.
  • Drop the XBRL column for a document aimed at readers who do not need the provenance.

Filings used

  • NVIDIA Corporation FY2026 Form 10-K, CIK 1045810, accession 0001045810-26-000021, filed February 25, 2026.
  • The two preceding Form 10-K filings, used for the prior-year income statement and cash flow columns.
