RewordedValue of our brandCut from 751 to 460 words; drops the reference to environmental and social program goals and adds that social media, video and messaging platforms spread issues before the company can respond, and that third party objections to company positions can trigger boycotts.
RewordedBrand, marketing, promotional, advertising and pricing strategiesHeading adds 'brand'; adds the need to build marketing, data analytics (incl. AI and machine learning) and innovation capabilities; drops the sentence on gradual menu price increases to offset inflation.
RewordedStrategic initiatives, incl. restructuring plan, and strategic transactionsHeading now names the restructuring plan and strategic transactions; lists Back to Starbucks initiatives (service model, closing and redesigning coffeehouses, transforming the support organization) and adds that divestitures, partnerships and joint ventures may not deliver expected benefits and can lead to impairment reviews.

RewordedDependence on North America segmentAdds that North America is the primary source of operating cash flow, so weaker results could limit funding of international expansion and strategic initiatives.
RewordedDependence on international marketsHeading changes from 'increasingly dependent on the success of certain international markets' to 'licensed and company owned international markets'; the FY2024 paragraph on the China MBU as the second largest, 100% company operated market and its risk list (US China tension, anti Americanism, boycotts) is removed; text now points to large regional licensees and key company owned markets.
