EDGAR Ingestion Log
https://api.sec-api.io/edgar-index/ingestion-log/{date}Returns the accession number, form type and EDGAR acceptance timestamp of every filing that sec-api.io indexed on a given date. The date is the publication date, not the acceptance date, which makes the log the reference list for reconciling a Query API or Stream API pipeline day by day.
Authentication
Send the API key either as a header or as a query parameter. The header is preferred; the query parameter exists for cases where a header cannot be set, such as opening a URL directly in a browser.
Authorization: required header
The API key on its own. Do not prefix it with Bearer or any other word.
Example Authorization: YOUR_API_KEY
token: optional query parameter
The API key, appended to the URL. Use this only when a header is not possible.
Path parameters
Supplied as part of the URL.
date: required string, YYYY-MM-DD
Publication date of the log, meaning the day on which sec-api.io indexed the filings. It is not the EDGAR acceptance date, so a log can hold filings that EDGAR accepted weeks or months earlier. The earliest date that returns data is 2025-12-02.
Example 2025-12-02
A JSON object. Nested attributes are collapsed; expand one to see its fields.
lastUpdatedAt: string
When the log for the requested date was last updated, ISO 8601 in Eastern Time. It equals the indexing time of the most recently processed filing for that date.
Example 2025-12-02T21:57:46-05:00
total: object
How many filings the log holds for the requested date.
value: integer
Number of filings indexed on that date, counted by accession number after de-duplication.
relation: string
Either eq, meaning value is exact, or gte, meaning value is a floor.
data: array of object
The filings indexed on that date, one entry per accession number. A filing that EDGAR publishes several times because it names several reporting entities is normalised into a single entry. The whole day arrives in one response, so data holds total.value entries and there is no pagination.
accessionNo: string
Accession number of the filing, formatted as 10 digits, 2 digits and 6 digits separated by hyphens, for example 0001193125-25-305761.
formType: string
EDGAR form type of the filing, for example 4, S-1MEF or SCHEDULE 13G.
filedAt: string
The Accepted attribute of the filing, ISO 8601 in Eastern Time. It records when EDGAR accepted the filing, so it can fall long before the requested publication date. Comment letters, for example, are often published months after acceptance.
